There are two to three times when color is added to achieve the right color scheme. They are as followed:

-Base: the color that is added into the concrete while it is mixing.

-Overlay: the skim coating that is applied after to fill in any open pores.

-Veining: Streaks of other colors that help give your countertops that "WOW" factor.

-Acid stain: an optional stain that is applied last to achieve a more natural look.
